Most of you know that I oppose violence and do not believe it is part of the kingdom of God. But I would like to share something that does come from my heart. I recognize courage in others even when they may not agree with my views. The passengers on United flight 93, and the responders in Manhattan on 9/11, are heroes and showed soaring courage in the face of life threatening circumstances. Many people owe them a debt of gratitude as well as their very lives.
I am always moved when I hear the many accounts of bravery and courage of those men and women. We as believers must never become so insulated that we cannot give praise when praise is due.
