Some Help, Perhaps?

Some Help, Perhaps?

I have been blogging since April of 2006 and I have posted over 1500 articles. I am by no means one of the “big boys” as it appertains to the volume of visitors. I probably have approximately 200,000 hits per year. In 2006 I might have had 10,000 hits so as you can see we have grown. It is just me adminstrating this blog, and the only other person who has ever posted here is my oldest son on one occasion.

Since I am what people call “retired” I have felt this was a way the Lord could use me to minister to people, and I have had scores of e-mails affirming that very idea. I thank each and every one who visits here. I have never solictited nor received any funds. This is just a labor of love and to be sure I have learned and grown over the past seven years.

But I have also received questions and interest concerning some kind of internet fellowship which would include a weekly interactive gathering where I would teach, answer questions, and perhaps a time for prayer. There are so many who are estranged from the institutional church and still many others who still attend somewhere but feel undernourished and even frustrated. I am still in the praying/thinking stage, but if indeed the Lord allows us to put something like that together I would need some help.

Why? Because even though I enjoy writing and have a working command of the language, I am an internet moron and all things related to a computer render me bewildered. I know that some of you are proficient at such things and would know how to direct such a plan (including which microphones, which web sites, software, etc.) and I would be so appreciative if some of you would contact me at spcrick@msn.com and offer your services and expertise.

I am sixty years old and I have been born again since 1975, but just to give you an idea about how behind the curve I am my cell phone is only a cell phone with no other features, not even texting. So that should give you a glimpse into just how child-like I am concerning all these things. So please contact me and if you feel comfortable you can also leave me a phone number which of course will never be shared. I have already heard from a couple of people and I look forward to hearing from some more.

In All Things Him!

LOL - I'll pray from real technical savvy readers here reach out to you for help. Unfortunately, I'm the kind of internet user that sometimes taps wildly and realizes the thing isn't even on, or forgets to plug something in.

If I had the faith I have in blindly using equipment as I do, (until I shout out at my husband, Help!!), and used that faith more in believing His Word, I'd be way ahead.

I hope things work out, and that whatever is in God's good will for you here, will just all easily come together. In Jesus' Name!

I know that you will receive many offers to help. Me included.

Praying for this to come to fruition. Glory to God!

John 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Just checking with husband and he suggests to go to gotomeeting.com - they have multi-party live presentations with audio and video - or there might be sites that host Webinars (Web seminars) at little or no cost. Or contact a church organization (Lutheran Church) which probably has an IT Department. They might recommend a place that would host a Webinar or would they might even do it for you.

Just some suggestion, if this is the venue you are seeking.

My husband suggests they might not mind helping you with your outreach. Hope this helps.

I already feel a kinship with many who post here. I appreciate the openness and heartfelt sentiments that have been expressed. I still worship with a local church, and yet I see the writing on the wall. Having just begun nursing school, I may not be able to participate at a time that is convenient to others due to my workload, but would love to be able to access the teaching at a later time. I will pray the Lord brings this to fruition!
