DOMA

DOMA

UPDATE.
Traditional Evangelical Marriage: One woman with one man one at a time.

The Supreme Court ruled that DOMA was unconstitutional which opens wide the door to same sex marriage being recognized by the government. Does that change the kingdom of God? Does that change the gospel? Does that change Christ? Does that change our discipleship? Does that change the Scriptures? Does that make lost people more lost? Does that change the coming of the Lord Jesus?

Then why should we be upset at all? Let us be about our Father’s business regardless of how the dead are burying their dead. The kingdom of darkness lives by their rules and the kingdom of God lives by God’s Word. Jesus did not come to change the world. He came to change lives and to seek and save that which was lost. And we should walk in His steps and not get embroiled in the issues of the dead. The church of Jesus Christ has done little to protect Biblical marriage and even much less to protect her betrothal to her Bridegroom.

BTW – I have no opinion as to what by-laws the church of Satan adopts. I hope the analogy is obvious.

God, Father, give us more conservatives like this godly pastor. In Christ's name. Amen.

Nope, makes no difference. The world is getting worse and worse. It does not matter in what way. Pray for all people everywhere for the Lord is nigh.

Stay strong in the Lord Church, His day is fast approaching. May He find us worthy to inherit a place in His Kingdom.

Love to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus,

I wrote a post about this for tomorrow reminding my readers that this isn't their home. We walk a narrow path while society walks on a wide one that leads to destruction. We know the end of the story...no reason to despair.

If we ignore it, will it go away? Yup! Ignore the world, acknowledge the Lord.

The only sin that cannot be forgiven is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
Have comfort in knowing that God is enlightening every person being born into the world. It is the individual's heart response to the Light. In these last days many are louder and boastful in their sins. Yes, we all are born spiritually dead without hope but how many sinners are desiring the Way, the Truth and the Life?

Even Lot was vexed in his righteous soul about the filthy conversations of the wicked and their unlawful deeds.
2 Peter 2:7-8

Believers are vexed in their spirit about the blatant open sin around us as Lot was. We have His Spirit grieving within and are looking for and waiting for our Blessed Hope to come remove us from this wicked world.
The fast growing false church of professing believers, those without His Spirit, is in this world and as well, loving this world.

Thought this article "The Whole Purpose of Evangelism" timely:

Recently a US Congresswoman made a public statement that it was God's Word that the government was disobeying, due to the newest ruling by the Supreme Court.

This brand of gospel-spreading by a politician who has entered the secular world of government, where compromise reigns, is hypocritical. If a christian politician is really upset by the rules which govern, then why remain enclosed and fellowship with the ways of the Washington culture? As long as men rule, there will always be biblical compromise, in every way.

If a christian really believes what they publicly state, why aren't their hearts so bound in Christ, that they'll give their careers up and become teachers, evangelists, missionaries, compassionate workers of the gospel, wishing that no soul perish, glorifying God? It doesn't glorify God to speak into a microphone or write an editorial on how sin is running rampant, by dog-whistling to ones electorate. It's preaching to the choir. And all it does is divide - it creates self-righteousness among the politician's electorate and creates ill feelings among the politician's colleagues. How does that perform the great commission? It doesn't. It creates a spirit of hatred and condemnation.

If we got off our pedestal and stood way back and took a look, our perspective would change in how we (the church) value being top dog and important rather than humbly offering ourselves to unsaved souls and broken hearts and even our enemies.

If a christian loves where he/she lives, is satisfied, blessed, and prosperous, and is embraced by his/her community, praised by his/her colleagues in any capacity, then they have made their choice to stay in the Sodoms of the world. They then have no right to publicly point their fingers in the face of those they perceive as abominable.

If they know sin abounds everywhere, marriages are breaking up, children are pulled hither and tither, promiscuity is rampant, adolescents are becoming confused about their sexuality, young couples living together, the porn industry is thriving, lovers of self, celebrities, reality shows shooting ratings through the roof, ungodly television and media, lying, disgusting speech, accusations, contentions, slander, boastful, prideful, condemning, rich above our means, being rewarded for being beautiful - if a christian has no problem living in any of this atmosphere, then they have no authority to point the finger and accuse the nation's government of disobeing God's Word. If it really bothers them, they should remove themselves from public service and live in modest surroundings, in the corners of the earth where many don't know God, and become effective vessels.

It's no use showing annoyance at secular governments for tolerating rights for all people, even if these rights are unbiblical; especially if one wants all the materialistic benefits in the midst of Babylon. Despite what they would have us believe, a true christian cannot have it both ways. Where there is no constraint on sin, there will be always be prosperity. A christian has to be honest with themselves and ask themselves if their rebukes towards their government is for God's glory, or for theirs.

The LORD GOD designs and uses secular governments and the unsaved for His purposes and Glory throughout the Old and New Testament.

Romans 9:17
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Zechariah 14:2
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle;
and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nation, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Joseph is sold into slavery by his brothers but God had designed it for spiritual good.

Christians are in this world, not of this world. Romans 12:2, John 15:19, Matthew 6:24

The Lord has placed each one of us where He will.... even the job we may work at. Because He gave us the job doesn't mean we are to join in the language, jokes, behaviors etc etc. We are where we are at and His Light in us is exposing sin in this dark world.
We can't leave this part of the world He has placed us in order to go somewhere else to share the gospel unless the Spirit carries us there to where He wills.
John 3:8
It is our hearts that God has separated for Him.
We cannot separate ourselves from this world.
Philippians 1:23,24 Paul said: I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.

Amen! A lot of us have some pretty big logs to work on removing for sure. I like your word on this topic.
