I used to think the church believed the words, “Honor the King”, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church had compassion for the lost, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church was looking for Christ’s return, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church was void of racism, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church believed in intercessory prayer, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church spoke words seasoned with salt, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church wanted to be like Jesus, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church lived with an eternal perspective, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church loved her enemies, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church realized she lived only because of God’s grace, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church believed in not complaining or murmuring, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church was an instrument for redemption, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church was immersed in hope, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church avoided allegiances with the unsaved, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think the church was passionate about following Jesus, but then President Obama was elected.
I used to think all those things. I do not think that anymore.

These last 4 years has exposed some true hearts in the churches. It's becoming more obvious as time goes on that the church's contentious mood isn't about economic woes, but who is in charge of the economics. National problems are always with us, but never has there been a time where the church raises up an ugly voice and demands carnal justification. It is scary when the angry voices are coming from within the church.
I believe the Lord is exposing the underbelly of a lukewarm church.
Eccl. 12:14 - "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil."
