Hypocrisy

HYPOCRISY

Hypocrisy is always a meal which brings indigestion. When running for president Barak Obama charged President Bush with shredding the Constitution and not believing in congessional checks and balances. But now we find out American drones can kill American citizen without due process and with collateral deaths, and without even consulting anyone in congress.
Do you see? We can make the law say anything we deem necessary. I hope you can see why I posted this. Let us not be Republicans or democrats. Let us be humble followers of Jesus and not be swayed by the back and forth of politics.

All presidents have feet of clay. Jesus alone is Lord.

"We can make the law say anything we deem necessary."

Unfortunately, many treat the Word of God that way as well.

Amen. Trusting man is a hard turn. Exploring the Internet for a greater "in" with the secrets of God seems to be a place for quicksand theology. So what are we to do? Who are we to trust? Who do we listen to as we prayerfully desire His knowledge? The Church is full of Hypocrisy let alone the believers life or lifestyle. Who are we to judge? And when we do, God says to judge with righteous judgement. Let us place our every ounce of trust in God alone. We can have little confidence in anyone or anything else... Love, His love in us can endure. But this love for Him must always be first.

One thing that the current U.S. politics has shown me, as a christian, is how we can so easily be hypocrites. The moral issues that are discussed on news bring me to think about how it's so easy to twist scripture and use it on a political platform. It's also revealing that pastors don't correct the twisting of scripture. And when intelligent unbelievers see the conflict of that scripture to how it's used on that platform, run away from anything that has to do with Jesus. They call all christians hypocrites.

We are supposed to be walking taking witnesses to unbelievers with true Word of God, but instead some are acting like God's district attorneys. Judgment comes to the House of God first. It won't come to our governments, administrations or various political parties first. It will come to the church first.

And when it does, who will be standing for Jesus? The ones that daily bring up the unjust sinful deeds of those dead in their sins? Or the ones who try to restore order in their own lives.

When a new president is elected, we know that he is assigned to do the best job that he can. If that man says he is a christian, we try to figure out what level of christian he/she is. Many people believe themselves to be, yet enter a profession that puts them in the devil's territory, where they'll have to compromise many of their convictions. Some are lukewarm, some are cold, some may not have taken the time to enter into a deep relationship with God, nor have studied the Word, and do not yet have the conviction of all the Word.

As christians, we should know that politics is a dirty business. Who among us, after having been reborn, would want to go into politics? Unbelievers can be very hypocritical and they wield politically-correct tools to try to keep everyone in line. But the hardest hypocrisy to bear? It's the kind that comes from the church, the christians.

This kind of hypocrisy comes from those who are supposed to represent Jesus. The are His ambassadors, His witnesses. The witnesses in the U.S. these past 4 or 5 years have been failures. Instead of showing meakness, kindness, charity, love, mercy, forgiveness, purity, they've done nothing but tear down, rip, character assassinate, mock, berate, lie and if there were to be a revival somewhere, they put out the tiny fire with a cold glass of water and stepped on it. They prevented many from entering in.

I try to imagine if the U.S. church had been in a great Revival during 2008 and beyond. Would we have heard the ugly rhetoric and hypocrisy from the mouths of believers then? A Revival would have produced a different atmosphere, the church as a place of refuge, comfort, and restoration; not insubordinate "both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. One of them a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil bests, lazy gluttons." This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth. Titus 2:10-14

From where I was standing, as a christian who loves my christian brothers and sisters in the U.S., and of course all Americans, I pray that somehow that those with a voice stop having foolish disputes and strivings on TV about the law, and they stop acting as though liberal politicians should know better. It's the church that should know better and pray for those who do not know better.

Drones, attacks, selling weapons to rogue militias, whatever, these have been going on for years. Nation leading has always been a dirty business. It's odd how all of a sudden though the church has woken up now and act all indignant at one administration, when previous administrations were hell-bent on doing anything to defend their national interests. It makes the church look very hypocritical.

Here we go again here in the northeast. Another big storm, like Sandy wasn't enough. A great time for Bible Study. Brought a Bible because I was without when I had no power back in November. So my dependence on Biblegateway is reduced. If you don't hear from me for a few days it is because of a lack of power. I will keep you all in my prayers. God is my lifeline and my covering. All will be okay. Praise and Glory and Thanks to God our Father in Heaven and to His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus. Love to you all.

your sister in Christ Jesus,
