Give Him Your Dentist as Well

Give Him Your Dentist as Well

It is suggested that the doctor shortage will worsen after the new healthcare bill is implemented. Many are already incensed and believers are deeply angry and offended about the situation. But what does the Scripture say?

Lk.6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

The Frueh Paraphrase:

He that asketh you for your doctor, give him your dentist as well.

Something to consider--really. You help me to come to the Scriptures as though I have never heard them before. Wow, we just might have to live by faith. . .

Thank you, Brother.

Than you, Victoria. Isn't it startling when we approach the Word of God without national or political prisms? We really are not of this wordl nust like our Master!

I have been blessed with good health and have had medical insurance most of my adult life. I've never had to choose between food and medicine. My child never had to suffer because I couldn't take him to the doctor. It seems like maybe the people who complain the most about "Obamacare" are just like me.

Yes, you are correct. But the sad thing is that believers get swept up with the same attitude as unbelievers.

We here in the U.S. are not totally dependent on God, only when it is convenient or when we are telling others about certain problems we are having do we say "we are depending on God for the outcome". No we are not! Paul said to not worry or fret over light afflictions, because they will not last that long. Now God is showing us through severe weather changes and the government that is spiraling out of control, depend on Him, put your faith, trust and most of all your life, in His hand. We are to be activists of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not activists against what is going on in this world.

The Lord has seen fit to take my breath away, but He is slowly giving it back as long as I tend His sheep and feed His sheep and most of all follow Him.

My husband, LeRoy is going through chemo for stage 2 lung cancer. We have insurance and are on a fixed income. Every month we pay our portion that insurance doesn't cover. The Lord has provided our portion, EVERYTIME ... Hopefully August will be the last time he will need chemo. Incidentally , LeRoy was a symptomatic when his cancer was discovered through a routine physical. God does work wonders.-Noel
