Pat Robertson Again

Televangelist Pat Robertson gave some more of his false advice. He said it was OK with God to divorce a spouse who has Alzheimer's disease since it is a “form” of death. This coming from a man who “believes” in healing. If doctors find a cure for that disease, does the divorce indulgence still stand?

BTW - Everyone at birth is born with a form of dying, so go ahead and divorce away! Whee........!!

Christian television has been 5% good and 95% a spiritual cancer.

Actually it's worse than just excusing divorce

"Robertson was presented with a question from a viewer that asked how they should advise a friend who had been having an affair after his wife began suffering with Alzheimer's Disease. Robertson responded, "I know it sounds cruel, but if he's going to do something, he should divorce her and start all over again, but make sure she has custodial care and someone looking after her." He continued, "I certainly wouldn't put a guilt trip on you if you decided that you had to have companionship [because] you're lonely." When co-host Terry Meeuwsen inquired about spouses honoring their vows, Robertson replied that he knows that husbands and wives promise "til death do us part," but claimed, "This is a kind of death." Consider the source. Robertson has been a false teacher for decades, however his false teachings have made him a millionaire many times over.

Case in point(of which there are many):

Robertosn claims to have prayed away some natural disasters from hitting his mansion. (hurricanes, etc.) And some of those hurricanes have taken lives and destroyed the homes of poor people. That is not my God.

Perhaps false "shepherds" such as Robertson are being exposed through their own shocking and over-the-top words. Faithful who are not too asleep yet might respond to their wake-up call when hearing such things that are so obviously alarming, whereas formerly their error was hidden to many. I suggest we should pray that people--so-called christians and non-believers--will be provoked to seek Christ and His words firsthand for themselves, and thereby encounter the Holy Spirit and His work to bring people to the cross and to Truth.

That leads right into the post I am currently writing!
