The M-4 Solution

THE M-4 SOLUTION

This is called a m-4 rifle.

Not your Saturday night special. This gun is what Texas congressman Louis Gohmert suggested every principal or teacher carry in public schools HERE. One of his quotes was he wishes to God the prinicipal had an M-4 in her office. Great discussion so far. And by the way, every single person must go though a metal detector in order to enter the halls of congress. Why? Because congressmen are precious to us and we spare no expense. You fill in the blanks.

Congress has lots of special perks that the rest of the population doesn't get. Nice, including the fact they get to vote on their pay hike.

I don't really understand, why are you bothering to condemn the world for being the world, it already is under condemnation, and will ultimately be swept away. At present all the world is under the power of the Evil One, and that's every nation. Jesus Kingdom is now not of this world, and we believers are not citizens of any country, but ambassadors of the true Sovereign King, showing forth God's offer of peace and eternal life to all. Criticizing a fallen world system for being what is is (fallen) seems unnecessary.

My attempt was to show the vacuous and fallen nature of it all, which I hope will lead others to draw the same conslusion you have come to. I believe if you read this blog for any amount of time you will see I embrace what you suggest, and I do not participate in the political system at all.

It's upsetting to observe many of the conservative politicians, who claim they are christians, refuse to make any statements in regards to protecting little children. They've been so vocal against abortion, yet refuse to discuss the real problem with increased shootings from these dangerous weapons. Where is the outrage from these men and women? Do they only care about the unborn and not the precious lives of these children?

Maybe the reason the principals and teachers do not want to carry concealed weapons is because their consciences wouldn't allow them to. Maybe these people know that they couldn't live with themselves if they killed another human being.

Many people don't buy guns because they know it might put them in that situation where, out of fear, they might pull the trigger. Many of these same people would rather just trust God and hope and pray that this situation never arises where they are threatened by an uncontrollable shooter. Maybe they just decide that their lives are not as important than taking another human being's life. They may figure that they'd rather die than pull a trigger on another human being, even someone who would pull the trigger on them first.

When you have soul your soul for political gain and votes, and when you swim in a polluted system, you soon lose all perspective of eternity and the teachings of Jesus.

Anonymous,

No one wants to take another human beings life, but believe me if you're in a situation where your life is in danger, you will pull the trigger. If you were the Principal or teacher at Sandy Hook that lost their lives in the attack, if you had a gun would you not use it to save children's lives? I would.

As a bible believing Christian who has lived their whole life (almost 40 years) in australia, I have now come to realize how very blessed I am to live in a country that is so 'restrictive' ( as some might say). In 2007 I visited America (for the first and probably last ) time, and all the excitement vanished when I saw a gun for the first time in my life. I fully appreciate that there are members of (any) society who genuinely need full access to guns / a gun, but (please correct me if I am wrong), it seems that many of these mass shootings are committed by people who perhaps did not genuinely need such easy access to a gun. Now if your solution is to provide guns to individuals so that they can protect themselves from other people with guns, well I don't know what to say to that - it is beginning to sound like a very cruel joke. Dangerous and evil people will always exist, it's already bad enough that they have easy access to dangerous weapons, but now let's consider this - the Texan congressman's solution may violate an individual's right NOT to use guns !!! Such a scheme potentially forces innocent people to commit violence in self defense. One day we stand before God - we know that our deeds will he judged, but I also believe that the deeds we force others to commit will also be judged.

Unfortunately the second ammendment has nothing to do with hunting and all to do with guaranteeing the people the ability to protect themselves from an out of control government. As a Christian, I don't believe in taking advantage of that right, but that doesn't change the fact that that's its original intent.

Rick Frueh said...

I understand the original intent of the 2nd amedment which over the years has become illogical since no amount of personal guns could resist the government.

Yes, and Jesus spoke often about the love of money and material things in hopes that people would repent of their ways. That is what I hope my words do copncerning politics. :)

Rick,
I'm grateful for my brothers/sisters comprising the Body of Christ. Each of us has a vital role.
Many of us are either young, immature in many areas of the Word, babes, new believers.
The Spirit is working through you to teach us, who may not have understanding, that a born again believer has no involvement, interest in the politics of a foreign land. Since we are foreigners, pilgrims passing through the nations of this world, on our way to our true home, the Kingdom of Heaven, how those of the nations of this world want to govern themselves is of no interest to us since it does not concern us.
Thank you for sharing the results of your continued research with us, for being a watchman who cares for our spiritual well being.
There is much wrong teachings coming at us. The area of a believer concerned with politics is just one of many.

UNITY OF THE SPIRIT

Eph 4:11-16 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Heb 11:8-10 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Agape love (His Spirit as the source) is concern for another's spiritual well-being.

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Rick,

"Nancy Lanza, Adam's mother and first victim on Friday, was actively stockpiling guns and supplies to prepare for an economic collapse. Says her sister-in-law Marsha Lanza."

IF this is true I'm not surprised...The one thing I find in common about all the recent mass shooters is that they've been white and from middle to upper middle class backgrounds...a few of them (like the one in Colorado) was quite educated -- but jobless...and they all probably were inculcated in the same godless, faithless "economy is dying, gas prices are rising, oh no a black man is president, and Muslim terrorists are taking over the universe along with alien spaceships from Mexico..." mentality that you so aptly rebuke the American church for espousing.

Just saying. Those sinful, godless anxieties lead to mental illness and people need to be careful of what they say in front of their children.

Rick Frueh said...

yes, much of the church deals in fear and despair, usually in the context of the country being dismantled. And those with mental issues are susceptible to become depressed and hopeless over these issues. Jesus is nowhere in the whole mess.
