Important Issues

IMPORTANT ISSUES
Over 100,000 people have been killed in the Syrian civil war. There have been well over that wounded, and 1.5 million refugees have fled to neighboring countries and are living in inhuman conditions. One rebel cut open a dead enemy and ate his heart. Lethal gas has been used against the rebels. The death and violence is unfathomable. Children are suffering in unspeakable ways.

But in a more important issue some states are allowing gay marriage. What is happening to our world?

I guess we know what is happening to our world.

I just read an article about Rick Wiles responding to a MSNBC reporter who criticized some of his statements. His response to her was that her listeners are demon-possessed and that the White House has the man of lawlessness in it, and that the Obamanistas are the ones who might persecute the church, and that they and the Administration are bringing evil to the world. How can men like this continue to get away with this? They are blaming evil in the world on others? Their concern for these people in Syria is nil; all they care about is accusing a man or a 'political party' that they hate on the evil in the world. They don't talk about repentence and sin, they just prefer to blame human suffering on the President?

It's wicked and it's the pot calling the kettle black. Please help us Lord.

  3. William, I get confused by your blog jumping. Do you have an address that is singular as it pertains to your posts?

Forgive me, pastor Rick. I decided I didn't want to post under the Arminian banner anymore -- not that I've changed my theology or anything like that -- but I'm reaching for a more diverse audience.

I'm posting on the Will & Graced Tumblr site. I promise I'll stop the madness now. :^) It's a little tricky to navigate at first, but easy once you get the hang of it.

I appreciate you, brother and friend and pastor.

Important issues? Where? The issues at hand are not only the sufferings and evil, but brothers and sisters are falling away due to despair and disillusionment with what is being offered as church, and those who know have had their eyes opened and have left the walled church and are left lonely and feeling lost. Where are the shepherd's for us.

Not saying these issues are not worth time and attention, but so are the brethren. Besides, no one should marvel at things such as this. If you've read the Good Book, The Word of God, we already know. We have been told. We need to reach out to those leaving the heretic church. Those who have come out are confused, alone and may return just to feel loved even though they are not.

    Just saying.

Know what's more important now? The fact that Lebron James complains. This from someone who's everyday is filled with complaints and not one shred of appreciation. In the words of Charlie Brown, I can't stand it...I just can't stand it.

A person's priorities are certainly not those of the Lord.

  8. William - I cannot log on to comment on Will and Graced. Please e-mail me with the info. I openly admit I get easily frustrated with it all and am easily tempted to quit trying.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Psalms 144:1 A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle—

Psalms 140:7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

And remember that the battle belongs to the Lord! We are to watch and pray.

When I rode among the herd of cattle that I had care of not only did I keep an eye out for the sick or lame ones, I also had to keep an eye on the horizan for the predatory animal that wanted a meal from my herd. It is the same here. Cherie thanks for the reminder. May the Lord grant us the wisdom and understanding of what we need to do with the hurt ones that wander into our herd. And especially the hurt ones that are already here.

Not only is the Word of God a sharp two edged sword that cuts the sinew and down through the bone, but it is also the balm of Gilead that soothes the downcast soul.

    Joel
