I have
never written a “heads up” about a future post, but this will be the first. My
good friend Teresa Cassle (internet) sent me a book entitled "The
Emancipation of Robert Sadler". It has drained me emotionally and I have
been carefully processing what I have read and what I should write. I will be
posting my thoughts soon, however the book was shocking and almost beyond
belief. This will be one of the most difficult articles I have ever written.
I covet
your prayers because in this narrative I believe are many elements of the gospel
and many aspects of the teachings of Jesus. But many of them are hidden in
stories of pain and suffering and human humiliation. The book can be purchased on
Amazon, but I will share my heart about it soon.

I am reading this book right now; I just finished part one. Wow! I have never read a book like this. I cannot put it down. It is emotionally draining. Some people shy away from such books and stories but I won't. I want my eyes to be open and I have never thought as deeply about the tragedy of slavery as I am now. I can't wait to read more tonight to see more of how the Lord works in his life and those around him. I appreciate your perspective and your writings very much so I'm looking forward to your post about this book.
