I Was Almost Worried!

I Was Almost Worried!

The economy might collapse.

The Muslims are taking over.

Iran may have nuclear weapons.

Terrorists may strike again.

The Muslim Brotherhood has a foothold in Congress.

Obama hates America.

China is gaining power.

The Taliban is resurging.

America’s future hinges on this election.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

For a minute there I was almost worried!

I love it! How right you are. More people should read this and then ask themselves, "where is my faith, really? In God or man."

    "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES"

Well the "Risen" Jesus is coming back "like a thief in the night" yet nobody is staying awake in anticipation but will for a masked actor who sounds like he OD'ed on Prozac and needs his tonsils removed. Our sense of reality is so distorted thanks to these movies and now the ensuing violence is just downright creepy. Wake up, people.

A bunch of "Christians" in Tennessee are in uproar over a mosque being opened. Yet a white man unleashes terrorism in a movie theater and nobody is calling for the shutting down of those. I guess not all false religions are equal.

Wish more people were alert to the pre-pubescent view of the world Hollywood and the billion dollar comic book industry manage to perpetuate.

Like young boys ready to play cops n' robbers in the backyard, the public devours these movies that play on petty fears about the world they perceive around them. The one where meanie hairy Muslims and robber Mexicans are taking over, where the economy is God, where gas prices make you cry, health insurance policies hold your destiny, and other such childish ideas and idolatrous notions.

When will we "put aside" such "childish things" as Saint Paul advises, and focus on matters of actual ETERNAL weight?!

Maybe then the questions and adventures of existence will excite us so much, we wouldn't be so darn entertained and soothed by a bunch of actors in suits playing cartoon characters.

A Colorado shooting victim recalled "We thought it was part of the movie." A testament to the dulled out, numbed out population of zombies we've become.

We can't even stop think of the symbolic ramifications of the shooting and its ties to the film's message and portrayal of actual reality.

  3. Amen. And no one will suggest that the man was demon possessed since that would be way too archaic and superstitious.
