If they give you life tips based upon what they say is Biblical advice, leave and leave quickly.

your sister in Christ Jesus,
Cherie c.Cherie c.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27942026.post-10199971009332880792013-11-18T13:31:49.773-05:002013-11-18T13:31:49.773-05:00It is wrong to teach that all visible churches dis...
It is wrong to teach that all visible churches dishonor God! The Bible teaches us to resist Satan and he shall flee. My experience with churches has been overwhelmingly positive. In churches you can meet "Christ-loving" people which is a very valuable experience. You can also meet people who are indifferent or spiritually lazy so be watchful.

One of the best ways to profit from a church is to attend their bible study meetings. A person can then be in a position to decide if the meetings honor or dishonor God.

Blessings

JamesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27942026.post-53431581966717755772013-11-18T09:08:08.381-05:002013-11-18T09:08:08.381-05:00You wrote:

I tried to stay in my old church because of my friends and others I loved. They were my brothers and sisters in the Lord, or so I thought.

But the blatant disregard for the Word of God hurt. At times physically hurt. It became actually painful to hear the false teachings. The conviction to leave became very strong. So I left. False teaching also hurt my friendships because I could not stay silent on what was happening. You have to stand for the faith, and when you do, you become an outcast.

A false church can be very dangerous to the Faith. My former church hurt my marriage, and destroyed my son's faith. He has walked away.

If you think that by staying in a heretical church, but not agreeing with them somehow makes you immune to its affects, you are deceived.

If you ignore the conviction of the Holy Spirit long enough, He will eventually leave you to your error.

Respectfully I have to disagree with you Anonymous. Satan is in the visible church as well as in the world. Your post pretty much contradicts itself.

Revelation 18 speaks of Babylon. It is a system, religious in nature because it says Kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, so it is a religious system. That is what we are to come out of. The visible church is assisting in the set up of this harlot, Babylonian system.

So before you get anymore deceived brothers and sisters, think about it, and come out while you can.

Yup, it is lonely sometimes, and yes you will be sad at times, and yes, you may question it at times, but so what. It is an opportunity to rid yourself of false teaching and really spend some one on one time with God. If you think that God is in activities, luncheons, and other "church" activities, you are mistaken. I know, I thought so too. But know this; Satan uses sentimentality to get you to focus on people, not God. Why read your bible when your pastor is such a nice man, he couldn't possibly lie. Umm...no, he can lie, deceive, twist God's Word so much you wouldn't know it unless you know God's Word. Satan counts on your sentimentality in order to deceive you. You will be shocked when you examine yourself and what you've been doing if you take the time to be truthful with yourself and God. Then repent and flee.

1Peter 4:17-19

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

The Word clearly says that judgment starts in the house of the Lord, so you are correct Anonymous as to being watchful, but once you see apostasy, run! God Bless.

By the way, don't confuse compassion for sentimentality. Also, sentiment is okay but keep it in check as to what you are sentimental about. Unchecked sentimentality can compromise God's Word. Like I said before, I know. Been there, done that.

your sister in Christ Jesus,
Cherie c.Cherie c.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27942026.post-2990769843786989912013-11-18T03:54:26.989-05:002013-11-18T03:54:26.989-05:00God can be worshipped in spirit and truth in a chu...God can be worshipped in spirit and truth in a church building or outside of a church building. We are to use the discernment God has blessed us with individually to decide where and with whom we fellowship.

What are we to come out of? What do billions of people need to come out of? The most pressing need of people is to be freed from being enslaved to Satan.
