Discernment

When we overly concern ourselves with the discernment of others, we run the very real risk of missing things about ourselves which are in desperate need of discernment. One of the reasons that I am mostly rejected among the discernment crowd is because I often point out serious shortcomings about our own “camp”.

That's always the prophet's deepest sorrow: being hated by those he most loves, his OWN people, for giving them the word God says to give them.

"Be glad in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For in the same way their fathers used to treat the prophets." (Luke 6:23)

I, for one, do actually appreciate your convicting us in "our own camp" because who else is? And we need that so much!
It's way too easy to become self-righteous and we can't let that happen.

Thank you for doing that, Rick.
Sometimes I flinch a little when reading an article and sometimes it's worse than that but I still appreciate it.

I was lost in deception for too many years to continue in it now. All I want now is God's truth - whether I like or not - whether it makes me uncomfortable or not - whether it puts me on my knees or my face or not...doesn't matter.
Better an uncomfortable truth than a comfortable lie! The lies may be comfortable but they bring confusion and ultimately death!

Bring on the Truth, Rick! And bless you, brother!
